Our passion for winter sports is your guarantee of quality.
My father, Balthasar founded the ski school in December 1962. As the Managing Director of the ski lifts in Hinterthal and later Managing Director of the Aberg Hinterthal mountain railway he was one of the first skiing pioneers. He also played an important part in developing tourism and especially skiing in our region.
Thirty-two years later, in December 1994, having qualified as a state-accredited ski instructor and ski guide and having worked for many years as a ski and snowboard instructor, I took over the management of the Ski School Hinterthal Hochkönig.
As in the early years of our ski school, my motivation is our individuality and enthusiasm for skiing. We take the greatest of pleasure in sharing this enthusiasm with our customers. We achieve this through the extremely high standard of training of our ski instructors.
As a team we always try to give of our best. We use individual, modern instructional methods, which are very motivating and great fun to bring our customers and safely to the required skills level.
To guarantee this for the future we are completely committed to the continuous further training of our team, in order to offer you the highest quality.
Techniques in skiing and other snow sports have changed dramatically in the last few years and there is a lot happening, especially in the area of materials. Therefore, I considered and still consider it important that our sports shop with its ski rental section is constantly adapting to the latest state of the art. By combining the best material and the best ski instructors we guarantee our customers maximum enjoyment and progress in learning.
